VAUS is an Adaptive Fashion brand founded in 2024, dedicated to redefining clothing for people living with disabilities. Our mission is simple: to create stylish, high-quality adaptive clothing that makes dressing easier and more comfortable, without compromising on confidence and individuality.

Founded by two friends, Jason Wisniewski and Gerard Lewis, VAUS was born out of a shared passion for helping people live their best lives. Jason brings over 13 years of experience in the disability sector, from frontline support work to management and running his own NDIS-registered service. Gerard, one of Adelaide’s top-rated personal trainers, has spent years empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals through fitness.

Together, they recognised a gap in the fashion industry—one that unfairly sets ‘normal’ standards for clothing, often ignoring the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Why should something as simple as buttons on a shirt be a daily struggle? With personal connections to family members facing these very challenges, Jason and Gerard set out to make a change.

Their mission is clear: to break societal norms and create a new standard where everyone feels independent, empowered, and equal.

Our first innovation, the Magnetic Shirt, is more than just clothing—it’s a statement. Designed to restore dignity and independence, it eliminates the hassle of traditional buttons while maintaining a sleek, high-quality look. Looking good should never come at the cost of functionality, and at VAUS, we refuse to compromise on either.
