How to Use Your Funding to Purchase VAUS Clothing
At VAUS, we understand that many of our customers rely on funding to support their everyday needs, including clothing. Our adaptive clothing may be eligible for funding through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or other support programs. Here’s how you can use your funding to purchase VAUS clothing:
Step 1: Determine Your Funding Type
Check if your NDIS plan includes funding for adaptive clothing. You may be eligible under:
- Consumables (Low-Cost Assistive Technology – Clothing & Shoes)
- Core Supports (Daily Living Support)
- Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living)
If you are unsure, consult with your Local area support coordinator, Plan manager or NDIS support coordinator.
Step 2: Choose Your VAUS Clothing
Browse our collection of high-quality adaptive clothing, such as our Magnetic Shirt, and select the products that suit your needs.
Step 3: Make a Purchase
Depending on how your NDIS funding is managed, you can purchase VAUS clothing in the following ways:
- Self-Managed: You can buy directly from our website and claim reimbursement from NDIS.
- Plan-Managed: Provide your invoice to me your plan manager, who will process the payment for you.
- NDIA-Managed: Contact us, and we can submit an invoice directly to NDIS for approval.
- Step 4: Submit Your Claim
If you are self-managing your NDIS funding, submit your invoice through the myplace portal on the NDIS website or app.
